Enable Intuidy AI Features
This guide is for Admins and Owners who need to set up and enable AI features for their Vantage organization.
Prerequisites
- Role: Admin or Owner
- Subscription: Active Vantage plan
- (Optional) API key from a supported LLM provider
Step 1: Navigate to AI Settings
- Click Settings in the left sidebar
- Select the AI Features tab
- You'll see three sub-sections:
- Intuidy AI — Provider and model configuration
- Context — AI context snippets and custom instructions
- Query Settings — Data processing behavior
Step 2: Configure an AI Provider
Using the Default Provider (Intuidy AI)
No action needed — Intuidy AI is enabled by default and requires no API key.
Using a Third-Party Provider
- In the Intuidy AI section, browse the provider list
- Click on your desired provider (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
- Enter your API key in the credentials field
- Click Save Credentials
- Once connected, a model list will load automatically
- Select your preferred model from the dropdown
- Click Save AI Settings
Tip: Click the refresh icon next to a connected provider to update the available model list.
Step 3: Set Organization Context
Context snippets make AI responses relevant to your business. These are shared across all users.
- Go to the Context sub-section
- Configure the default organization snippets:
| Snippet | What to Include |
|---|---|
| Company Overview | What your company does, key products/services, customer base |
| Industry & Market | Your industry, key competitors, relevant benchmarks |
| Company Website | Your company URL |
- (Optional) Add Custom Instructions — free-text rules applied to every AI request
- (Optional) Add additional organization-level snippets for specific topics
Step 4: Configure Query Settings
- Go to the Query Settings sub-section
- Decide on Process Large Datasets:
- Enabled — AI processes all data rows (slower, more accurate, higher token cost)
- Disabled — AI samples data (faster, lower cost, may miss edge cases)
For most organizations, keeping this disabled (sampling) is the best starting point. Enable it only for use cases requiring complete data accuracy.
Step 5: Verify AI Availability
After configuration, verify that AI is working:
- Navigate to any dashboard
- Click the AI icon in the sidebar to open the assistant
- Ask a test question: "What can you help me with?"
- Verify the response mentions your organization context
If the AI panel shows an error, check:
- Your API key is valid and has not expired
- Your provider account has available credits/quota
- Your Vantage subscription is active
Managing AI for Users
What Users Can Do
- Use the AI Assistant and Tile AI features
- Add personal context snippets
- View their own token usage
What Users Cannot Do
- Change the AI provider or model
- Add or delete API credentials

Disabling AI for Specific Roles
Use Vantage's role-based permission system to restrict AI access for specific user roles via Settings → Users & Roles.
