Platform Orientation
This guide walks you through the main areas of the Vantage interface so you know where everything is from day one.
Sidebar Navigation
The left sidebar is your primary navigation hub. It provides quick access to every major section of the platform:
| Sidebar Item | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Dashboards | Lists your dashboards organized by Mine, Company, and Organization. Click any dashboard to open it. |
| Workflows | Opens the workflow list where you can create, edit, and run automation pipelines. |
| Integrations | Shows all available third-party integrations and their connection status. |
| Reports | Access generated reports and data exports. |
| Notifications | View system notifications, alerts, and workflow completion messages. |
| Chat | Open the AI chat interface for conversational data queries. |
| Settings | Access all platform configuration — profile, security, organization, billing, and AI features. |
| AI Assistant | Launch the global AI assistant panel for context-aware help and data queries. |
You can customize which dashboards appear in the sidebar via Settings → Personalization → Dashboard & Sidebar.
Dashboard Area
Dashboards are the core of the Vantage experience. When you open a dashboard, you'll see:
- Dashboard Grid — A responsive grid layout of tiles (data visualization widgets). You can drag tiles to rearrange them and resize by dragging edges.
- Add Tile Button — Opens the Tile Library with 40+ tile types across categories like Charts, Tables, Metrics, CRM, Events, Maps, and more.
- Dashboard Editor Sidebar — Edit the dashboard name, description, layout options, share settings, and export options.
- Tile Actions — Each tile has controls for editing, expanding, AI insights, email sharing, and drill-down analysis.
Dashboard Visibility Levels
| Level | Who Can See It |
|---|---|
| Private | Only you |
| Company | All users in your company |
| Organization | All users across the organization (when cross-company sharing is enabled) |
Workflow Editor
The Workflow Editor is where you build and run automation pipelines:
- Canvas — The main drag-and-drop area where you place and connect nodes.
- Node Library — Left panel listing all 170+ available node types, organized by category (Triggers, Data Sources, Transformations, AI, Integrations, Logic, Outputs).
- Properties Panel — Right panel showing settings for the currently selected node.
- Toolbar — Top bar with Run, Save, Undo/Redo, and Zoom controls.
- Data Preview — Click any completed node to see its output data in a table format.
See Building Workflows for a step-by-step guide.
Integrations Page
The Integrations page shows all available third-party connectors in card format:
- Connection Status — Each card shows whether the integration is connected or disconnected.
- Connect Button — Click to start the OAuth flow (for Google, Microsoft, Slack, etc.) or enter API credentials (for databases, AI providers, etc.).
- Categories — Databases, Cloud Storage, Communication, Calendar, Project Management, Social Media, Commerce, Support, AI Providers, and more.
See Connecting Integrations for setup instructions.
Settings
The Settings page is organized into four main sections:
| Section | What's Inside |
|---|---|
| Personalization | Theme (light/dark/system), display density, animations, default dashboard, sidebar layout |
| Account | Profile info, password, 2FA, passkeys, activity logs, token usage, billing |
| Organization | Organization settings, integration restrictions, user management, companies, roles |
| AI Features | AI provider selection, model choice, query settings, custom AI context and instructions |
Access settings by clicking the gear icon in the sidebar. See Settings Overview for a complete walkthrough.
Global AI Assistant
The AI assistant is accessible from anywhere in the platform:
- Click the AI icon in the sidebar or use the keyboard shortcut.
- The AI panel slides open on the right side.
- Type questions in natural language — the AI is context-aware and knows which page you're on, what data is visible, and your company context.
Examples of what you can ask:
- "What were our top 5 customers last quarter?"
- "Show me revenue by region for 2024"
- "How do I set up a Slack integration?"
Global Search & Command Palette
Use the search bar at the top to quickly find dashboards, workflows, integrations, settings, and documentation. The command palette provides keyboard-driven access to common actions across the platform.
