Global AI Assistant
The Global AI Assistant is a conversational panel accessible from any page in Vantage via the sidebar AI icon or a keyboard shortcut.
Capabilities
- Data Q&A — Ask natural language questions about your data: "What were our top 5 customers last quarter?"
- Query Generation — Describe what you want to see and AI generates the query: "Show me revenue by region for 2024"
- Data Explanation — Get plain-language explanations of the data currently visible on your dashboard
- Action Suggestions — Receive recommendations based on trends and anomalies in your data
- Configuration Help — Ask how to set up integrations, workflows, or settings: "How do I connect Slack?"
Context Awareness
The assistant automatically understands:
- Which page you're on (dashboard, settings, workflows, etc.)
- Which tiles are visible and the data they contain
- Your AI context snippets (company overview, industry, custom instructions)
- Your preferred AI provider and model
Tile AI Features
Every dashboard tile includes built-in AI capabilities.
Tile Summaries
AI-generated plain-language explanations of what a tile's data shows.
- Automatically generated when a tile loads
- Updated when underlying data changes
- Can be manually refreshed at any time
- Considers tile type (bar, line, table, waterfall, etc.) for relevant analysis
Popup AI Chat
A focused, per-tile AI conversation for deep analysis of a specific dataset.
- Click a tile to expand it
- Click the AI chat icon in the popup editor
- Ask questions specific to that tile's data
- AI responds with targeted insights, comparisons, and recommendations
AI Context System
Context snippets provide background information that makes every AI response more relevant to your business.
Organization-Level Snippets
Shared across all users in the organization:
- Company Overview — What your company does, your products, your market
- Industry & Market — Industry context for relevant benchmarks and comparisons
- Company Website — Reference URL for additional context
Personal Snippets
Individual users can add their own context snippets for personalized AI responses.
Custom Instructions
Free-text instructions appended to every AI request:
- "Always format numbers with commas"
- "Focus on quarter-over-quarter trends"
- "Respond concisely in bullet points"
Learned Knowledge
The AI learns from interactions and builds a knowledge feed that improves responses over time. Manage this in Settings → AI Features → Context.
AI Query Settings
Fine-tune how AI processes your data.

How Workflow AI Nodes Work
- Data flows into the node from the previous step
- The node sends the data to your configured AI provider along with the node's prompt/instructions
- AI processes the data and returns results
- Results are added to the data stream (as new columns, classifications, or routing decisions)
- Data flows to the next step in the workflow
AI in Emails & Reports
AI-powered features extend to communication:
- Email Summaries — AI-generated summaries of tile data included in scheduled emails
- Report Generation — Natural language summaries alongside visual reports
- Data Explanations — Context-aware descriptions of what changed and why
Multi-Provider Support
Vantage supports 7+ AI providers. Each can be connected with your own API key, or you can use the built-in Intuidy AI default at no extra configuration.
